Biography

I have been painting professionally for the past ten years, from my studio based in Ayrshire, Scotland. I am influenced by the surrounding scenery of the West Coast of Scotland, from the vast secluded seascapes to the more rugged rural landscapes. I am attracted to subjects for their atmospheric qualities, whether it be quality of light, colour or dramatic effect. I work predominantly in oils, although I also use acrylics, pastel, watercolour and pen/ink.
